"The Queen of Quince" will discuss and sign copies of her book Simply Quince, the first tribute to this heirloom fruit in culinary history. Her presentation is entitled "Got Quince? Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner"

12:15 - Jeanne Brandt
"Food Preservation Update" Jeanne, a Master Food Preserver, and representative of OSU Extension Service, Family and Community Health, of Washington County will discuss the most current techniques and tested guidelines for producing safe and healthy preserved foods at home.

1:30 - David Karp
"Growing Greengages, the Most Delicious Fruit in the World" David Karp is a freelance writer and photographer specializing in fruit, currently writing chiefly for the Los Angeles Times. His articles have appeared in The New York Times, Gourmet, Smithsonian, and many other publications. He is an Associate in the Agricultural Experiment Station at the University of California at Riverside, and is working on a book about fruit. He is known as The Fruit Detective, ranging the world in search of the perfect, delicious, exotic, the next big thing in fruit.
