Post Rootstock Storage
I am a member of MidFex, a fruit growers club out of Chicagoland. We hold two grafting workshops every spring. We would like to know how other clubs store rootstocks before and during grafting sessions. How do members take home their rootstocks? We have used moistened newspapers and plastic bags but are looking for better ways. Thanks.

WHat I have seen around here mostly is moistened sawdust in a plastic bag. That's also what people mostly use for bare-root trees.

Or dampened pine or hemlock shavings (NOT CEDAR) sold as bedding material, available in large compressed packaging from pet supply or well stocked ranch/farm supply stores. Less dense, easier to handle.
