Anyone growing Rambour Franc/Summer Rambo in/near Spokane?
I hope to chip bud graft this apple in August to rootstock already established in my yard. So far the only grafting success I have managed is with chip budding.
Summer Rambo/Rambour Franc is an early ripening, large, rather barrel shaped apple, scab resistant (at least some) ripening in August in most locations. Its bloom is likely early-mid season. The tree is rather vigorous, quite fruitful and of ancient origin - first recorded in France in 1535.
This should not be confused with Rambo, an entirely different apple.
