Smyrna is the overall winner for me. I have scions on my website.

I will begin pruning my strawberry quince trees in a couple of weeks. I will have a few scions if you would like them. The cuttings will be from a strawberry quince (at least I think it is) :).

Let me know if you would like them and I will send them your way.

I'm not familiar with strawberry quince. Perhaps that is a variety of flowering quince which, while producing fruit, is different that the fruiting quince Cydonia Oblonga.

And unfortunately, as you may have seen in a recent post, Lon Rombough will no longer be sending out cuttings and scions. I don't know anything about the handling of his estate. I do respect his expressed opinion on varieties.

But perhaps a direct and exciting way to fill your request is by going to the annual scion exchange which is now called the Fruit Propogation Fair. It always has several varieties of quince scions on hand.

This year's event is March 17th at the Clackamas County Fairgrounds.

These are available at the Corvallis GRIN Germplasm Repository. Sign up before December 1st, and you should get them in the mail.
