Post Peaches finally! Now what?
I planted a Charlotte Peach from One Green World nursery in spring 2005, and I actually have many (very small) fruits on it. After battling branch disease problems last year, everything looks healthy this year.

I fear moths and what not ruining the fruit over the next several months. Any pointers, aside from thinning, on how to get some edible peaches come late summer?

Fear not the fruit moth, they are few and far between here. They are easily controlled wil pheromone traps. Just hope that they were pollinated and fertilization occured. Then hope for a warm spring (so goes that hope!). Best of luck, you are at the mercy of the weather.

We don't have the Oriental Fruit Moth or the Plum Curculio. Knock on wood and thank your lucky stars. However, you might have problems with some of our warm-blooded friends like birds, squirrels and racoons.
Make sure you thin religiously. Wait til the fruits are about the size of a quarter and then keep the largest and best looking fruits. I don't like to thin too soon cuz the tree is going to voluntarily drop quite a few fruitlets anyway, so I don't want to be picking off the ones the tree wants to keep. By this time the "droppers" will be noticeably smaller than the "keepers", and can be safely removed cuz the tree is gonna drop them anyway. You'll likely still have to remove some of the "keepers", just to keep the tree from overbearing.
Did you spray it for Peach Leaf Curl? I have a Charlotte too and it hasn't shown any PLC and I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time spraying it.
