Post leafhoppers on raspberries
My primocane raspberries that I planted spring last year are growing like gangbusters in their raised bed.

I've noticed since the weather has warmed up that there are tiny green leafhoppers in there. They don't seem to have affected the foliage that mch yet, but I'm wondering if I need to do anything about them before they start causing problems.

Leafhoppers are sucking insects. They suck on leaf tissue removing green chlorplasts from the cells, lowering photosynthesis (food production of the plant). Heavily infected leaves are speckled with white markings (missing chlorplasts). There are many parasites of leafhoppers and if the leaves show little damage, let nature do the rest.
