I've heard/seen several sources that say Negronne and Violet de Bordeaux are the same tree.
Are yours different from one another?

I have also heard that Negronne and Violet De Bordeaux are the same. But I have two trees, and one was sold to me as 'Gurney's dwarf'. It has mahogany dark brown figs and they are fewer but larger than Violet DE Bordeaux. I believe from looking at pics online that this is Negronne. The other Violet DE Bordeaux makes a lot more smaller figs, and is a smaller tree overall. All I am sure of is that these are two different varieties.
