Are the seeds from my loquats really going to kill me or the birds that eat them?

I would plant them and grow more loquats. Worked for me. Apple seeds, which are related, are also poisonous.

John, are you saying you are able to grow and harvest Loquats at home outdoors?

I have not harvested the fruit. The plant usually gets attacked by diseases this time of year, and then sort of recovers from about July to October. What I am saying is that I planted the seeds from a loquat I harvested off a tree in Marin County, California and one of them grew from a seed in my yard into a small tree that is in my yard. I am growing it mostly because I think the long, evergreen leaves look cool and because it reminds me of my brother. I don't know if I will get fruit from it. If I do it probably won't fruit reliably.
