i am hoping that you have some budwood you want to share, in the portland area and surrounds. i am especially interested in grafting plum and peach/nectarine varieties this season. i have peach, nectarine, plum, a few apples and pears, reply if you want trade or share, i can tell you what varieties i have. didn't feel like listing them all.

I have a young Frost peach and also an established peach that seems to shrug of leaf curl, but I don't know the variety. The few peaches I've had from it are worth eating.

If you have any curl resistant peaches I'm very interested in bud wood from them.

The Home Orchard Society has an arboretum from which bud wood can be sourced. In fact, this Saturday is the budding workshop there.

By all means, attend the budding workshop and bring your budwood to share with others. Like Jafar said, Saturday at the arboretum 9-12, followed by picnic, etc. I will be assisting at the budding workshop.

HOS Budding Class, Picnic & Fruit Tasting

Saturday, August 4th at the HOS Arboretum (Directions)

Budding Class: 9am - 12pm: Learn all about bud grafting, which is a summer technique for propagating fruit trees
Picnic & Fruit Tasting: 12pm-3pm: We will taste summer fruits (bring some of yours to share) and then at 1:00 join us for a potluck picnic amongst the arboretum fruit trees. Bring a dish to share (and your own plate, silverware and blanket or chair)

Noah, let me know if you think you are going to go . I have some Japanese plum budwood I could bring. There are people on our list who don't like Japanese plums, and I don't know if you're going to go.

I'm in Camas, the Fern Prairie area. There are also several fruit trees at my mom's house in Vancouver South East.

I am very interested in propagating both of those. We can arrange to get together another time.

Feel free to email me. It's my username here @msn.com
