have any of you ever tried the candy crisps apples off the tree? Are these apples very sweet? are the trees diease free?

I've never tasted one myself, but from what I've read about them they're similar in taste to honeycrisp, but less tart. Apparently is was grown as a seedling from a red delicious. As far as disease resistance it is said to be fairly resistant to russeting, but other than that I haven't researched it much.
