 Mason Bees / cocoons
I am newby @ raising Mason bees so please bear with these ?? I have a small garden and 2 apple trees. I planted 2 cherry trees last year and will be adding 3 more apple trees this season. Will the number of bees increase annually to the level of blossums in the area? How many bees/hives should I start with? Do you have cocoons avail.? > I live in the Hayden Lake Idaho area. > Thanks, > Cal > 509 879 0624

 Re: Mason Bees / cocoons
The only real way to tell how many mason bees you need is to look at your fruit production. If is not adequate, you probably need more pollinators. On average one acre of fruit trees of berry bushes need 500-1000 cocoons.
Start off with a few mason bees, and as your fruit trees grow so will your mason bee numbers.
