All About Fruit Show

"Richer, Sweeter, and Home-Grown: Come See How" is the theme of the Home Orchard Society's annual All About Fruit Show. See the largest display of fruit in the U.S. Sink your teeth into heirloom apples and pears. Learn how to create a bountiful orchard on your own city lot; Learn about unusual fruits to grow; Hear and see the secrets of making your own cider.

The ALL ABOUT FRUIT SHOW, Saturday and Sunday, October 16 and 17, Clackamas County Fair Grounds, Canby Oregon, 9:00am to 4:00pm. Sponsored by the Home Orchard Society (HOS). Admission: $3 adults, $5 family and children under 6 free. Free Parking.

There is no other place in Oregon where 100's of varieties of pears and apples (and a few exotic and rare fruits) are available for the public to see and taste. Several varieties will be available to buy.

Speakers and topics:

Apply this knowledge by ordering custom grafted fruit trees or buy a cherry bush for the patio at the show. Or maybe you have an existing apple tree that's a mystery to solve. Bring unknown apples and our HOS sleuths can identify it for you for free.

Not a gardener? Then pick the brains of the HOS cider and vinegar panel and learn how to brew up your own home cider and vinegar.

In addition, see one of the largest fruit displays in he U.S. showing the ordinary and extraordinary along with gathering ideas for creating crafts and gifts from the home orchard. This event is for the entire family.

Oh, and don't forget about the Apple Pie Contest and raffle.
