It's not too late to Make your favorite Apple Tree
The Home Orchard Society presents its' free summer budding workshop at 9 a.m Saturday August 2, at the HOS Arboretum, in the northwest corner of the Clackamas Community College campus. Budding is a technique orchardist use to graft varieties of your favorite fruit to new or existing rootstock during the summer growing season. At this workshop you will learn budding techniques, and HOS members will assist you if you want to make your own tree or will do it for you. Rootstocks will be for sale; however, there is no charge for the Arboretum's bud wood. Bring a sharp knife. Questions? Call Jerry Shroyer (503-266-6745).
