--------------------------------------------------------- PRESS RELEASE Scion Exchange & Rootstock Sale Release Date: February/March 2004 The Home Orchard Society (HOS) is holding its annual Scion Exchange and Rootstock Sale at the Clackamas County Fairgrounds, Canby, Oregon, March 6, 2004 from 9am-4pm. Admission is $5. Hundreds of FREE scions of apple, pear, plum, peaches, persimmon and others, for grafting to rootstock will be available. Several types of rootstock, which determine potential size of your tree, will also be for sale. For pollinating your plants, mason bees and supplies will be available. Because you can select from rootstock that will enable you to grow an apple tree from 4 to 32 feet tall, it is important to select the right rootstock for the size that will fit into your landscape. HOS has the information you need to make the right choice for your yard. Participants get guided hands on grafting experience or can choose to have custom grafting done by HOS experts.
