LEARN HOW TO GRAFT!
Have you always wanted to graft an apple tree of your own – but didn’t have the skill? Well — we can give you the knowledge and confidence to do just that! On Saturday, February 29, 2020, two classes will be held in Clairmont Hall, on the Clackamas Community College Campus. The beginners class starts at 8:45 AM. The intermediary class follows at 10:45 AM.
These classes are small, a maximum of 25 students. We have several knowledgeable instructors in the classroom, so each student gets one-on-one instruction. By the end of the classroom session you will graft your own tree to take home. Remember to bring a grafting knife if you have one, and your pruners.
If you want to move a little beyond the basic grafting and learn other techniques, sign up for the intermediary class. This second class offers insights into the challenges of top-working, bark grafts, and side grafts – to name a few.
Don’t wait too long, because the classes tend to fill up early. And remember, with each class, you will go home with your own newly grafted tree.
