Lots of exciting things happening around the arboretum these days. We have new workshops and programs planned for the 2019 season. Stay posted to the events page on this site for updated information on all of our workshops, classes, and events.
Here is a look at some of the programs we are offering in 2019
Community Orchard- Now is the time to sign up for our 2019 season! There is a $75 fee and a 45 hour volunteer requirement to participate. Community Orchard program participants get to attend all of our workshops for FREE, plus they get a full season of fresh fruit from the arboretum (June through November, 5-10lbs a week).
CSA- We are bringing back our community supported agriculture program for those who want to support the HOS and get lots of yummy fruit, but don’t have the time or desire to attend workshops or volunteer. $350 will get participants 20 weeks (5-10 pounds per week) of organically grown fruits from the orchard.
Workshop Pass- This is a great program for those of you that plan on attending over 5 workshops in the year. Participants get access to all of the Arboretum workshops for the 2019 season for $125. *Please note that this does NOT include the CCC sponsored classes February Pruning or Grafting.
*New class Pruning Young Blueberries– this class is specifically for newly planted blueberries (1-4 years old)
*New class Kiwi pruning- we took last year off to allow for some restructuring of our vines, they are back and ready to be worked!
Everybody to have the opportunity to participate in our programs and workshops. We do understand that some may not be able to afford it. We are always willing to work with those who want to learn! Please contact Tonia to discuss work/trade options at the arboretum.
Information about our upcoming workshops and winter events will be posted in the next few weeks. If you have any questions you can contact Tonia at: firstname.lastname@example.org
